I heard there’s a lot of fishing over on the Navy weapons station? Has anyone been over in that area? What areas are we allowed to fish?

I am new to South Carolina, originally from Southern California, I am on Charleston Air Force Base and Iv been looking for largemouth bass. I am use to fishing in small ponds or large lakes. I also have fished salt water harbors for barracuda and halibut. So far I’ve rented a boat and fished Short Stay, but I’m looking for ponds of plenty bass, something more familiar of what I’m use to. I have a 14 ft kayak with a built in live bait well hooked up with a pump to circulate water, Iv been trying to find a good place to put it in a river to find some bass. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I would like to take my wife out to fish from shore somewhere too.
