I should of made it more obvious. I can almost get the same cast distance with my UL spinning combo vs any of my baitcaster bass setups throwing much higher weights.

I have a 7ft UL Temple Fork Outfitter travel rod paired with a Pflueger president 30 with 4lb trilene xt and I can cast a 1/64oz trout magnet almost as far as my baitcaster. Anything lighter than that use a bobber for the weight and a 3-5ft leader to a fly. Then left it drift. I also have a $40 berkley lightning rod Trout 8fter UL and it casts just as far at the TFO but I prefer the action and the split grips on the TFO.

Amsoil. Its also a good bait attractant.

ffo had a revo3 stx left hand and a 6'6" villain med rod on sale. 180 then dicks had a lews carbon fire med casting on sale. 40 then Cabelas had a curado 200hg k in the bargin cave for 80 also found out my local cabelas is discontinuing the bargain cave and will have the stuff in each department or shipping it to some bass pro outlet store.
