  1. I mainly fish from the river bank and I don’t actually know much about the depth or structure of the river. I’ve seen some depthfinders that you can attach to a rod and cast out. Do you think this would work for a river with slow to fast current? Wasnt sure how the current (particularly fast rough current) would effect the devices ability to get a usable image. Or would even work if parts are shallow. If it might work, any products someone can recommend?
  2. Check out the “sportsmansoutfitters” eBay store. They have good prices on rods reels and combos and also currently have a 20% off coupon code on a lot or the stuff. Recently picked up a HyperMag reel for $160 from them... Couldn’t pass that up.
  3. I don't have a lot but the gear is a major part of the fun of fishing, and having nice gear makes it even more enjoyable. Along with trying new lures... however I think having boxes and boxes of lure's is dumb But yeah the whole bass fishing industry revolves around selling you ****. You can keep it simple and cheap but it's hard not to give in, especially once you've used the nicer gear. Throwing bobbers and other wait-baits is super boring unless you're just trying to hang and drink with some buddies :D.
  4. Step 1 insert center of spool between your 2 big toes on the floor. Step 2 reel in. Step 3 feel the burn
  5. I have an Abu veritas winch rod which is mod action/taper and I like it
  6. Use braid and keep your line as tight as possible and you’ll feel the fish even thinking of hitting it
  7. I didn't even see the Christie... Wish I would have ordered that instead of the SR lol
  8. I picked up an SR at TackleWarehouse for $84 during the July 4th sale. I don't have it yet though. A lot of people say it's one the best $100 rods around. I'm worried I'm not going to like the guides though since I'm used to Micro guides. But then again I read reviews on the Micro series that said the guides were chintzy and damaged easily ?‍♂️
