    just researched....I must have an original Bass Raider from 2006....somebody painted over all of the decals. Still curious about suggestions re re-painting...kind of paint, prep needed.

    Another newbie on this thread.... I bought an old Pelican....the model before they came up with the Bass Raider moniker, I believe. Bought it from a fellow that made numerous modifications electrically. I love this little boat, but it must be 15 years old and the paint is pealing badly. (new ones I've seen don't look painted at all). Any suggestions for how to re-paint the craft? Would I need to fully strip all excess before painting? What kind of paint would be required? Any suggestions?
