  1. Just downloaded the schematic. Outstanding. It will save me a lot of time listing each part as it came off. I will have to get the products you mentioned. Thanks again for the info and the schematic.
  2. I wouldn't mind the eight bucks so much, but the over 100 miles round trip would be a pain. Yeah I suppose I could send them, but I have always been pretty self-reliant. I guess living in the bush over 60 years does that to you. It would be nice to get some documentation on it, but if I can fix my truck, four wheeler, boat, and darn near everything else around the place, I am sure I can figure out a couple of spinning reels. Heck once during the bow season I yanked my own tooth because I didn't want to screw up a couple of days of hunting. Ya know he would have wanted me back to check it. It hurt like **ll but a half a jug of "Old Stump Blower" and I was ready to dance with the bears. Thanks for the welcome fellas!!
  3. Ok so it is below zero around here and besides going out ice fishing once in a while, it is time to do some reel maintenance. I have a couple of reels, A Shimano Sahara 2000FA and a FX 2000 FA, I know I can rip them a part and figure out how to put them back together again, but I would rather have the documentation on them. I have gone to the Shimano site, but they no longer have those models listed. Any suggestions on where I can find them. Also what do you suggest as a solvent to remove the grease. Would Hoppies number 9 be ok? I have seen WD40 get some smack downs in a few articles I have read. What do you suggest instead. Is 3 in one ok? How about gun oil? I have regular reel grease, but I am also thinking about using graphite gun grease, what do you think? Lastly, I sure hope I can remember my PW so I can find this post again. My GPS coordinates just keep bringing me back to my chair here. :-[
