that is the exact rod i'm leaning toward right now, The Avid X Medium/fast rod. Do you have a length suggestion? Thinking the 6 8. Yep, im leaning towards the 6 foot 8 inch Avid X. In general the Edge Delta looks great, but i can't find anywhere when they actually release and fishing season only has a couple more weeks up here in new england and i'd rather have a rod in a few days to use.

At this point im generally just overwhelmed with the selections, and the edge rods are catching me cause they look so slick. That's not a great reason to pick a rod, but i know Loomis makes great rods. I also have fished my friends St Croix, don't remember the model but they are very nice. Tried and true might be the way to go i suppose

So i generally just bass fish, and fish freshwater bodies. I've been looking into a few different rods, one being one of these new edge rods coming out soon that are $150. I'm looking into spinning rods, and i guess i'd get the medium-heavy fast action pole, but honestly 7 feet 4 inches just seems d**n long to me. Another one that looks pretty good is one of the Johnny Morris Carbonlite 2.0s from bass pro shops, or a St Croix Mojo or Avid. Definitely open to any suggestions and if you guys have any opinions on the rods listed that would be great.
