WOW! What a great weekend! My son had a great finish in the JWC and just missed winning his age group by 8 ounces. He ended up with two book-end spots that went 7 pounds even AND caught them in the last ten minutes of the tournament. The killer was in between catching these two, he let one 4+ get off at the boat. When he put the last one in the boat it was tangled in the net...time was so close they threw it is the floor and buckled the rods and put that 21X in the wind, just barely making weigh in. He fished with Ga. Pro Tom Hamlin who was great! It was an unbelievable weekend and BASS rolled out the red carpet for all the kids, families, and Pro Fisherman. I will write up a journal from mine and Brad's perspective and post it soon. He definitely left there on fire to make it back and to go fishing. He has a small alunimum rig and had to get it out today since he is out of school and is so fired up about fishing. He just hung up the phone and has caught two stripers over 6 pounds, broke off a 5+ bass, and then caught a bass between six and seven pounds on Hartwell! More to come!!!!! BR Man it was cold in Alabama! Oh Yeah! Made it a point to meet Ben in the boat with John Crews...nice young man!
