I am a new contributor and I wish I could start out with a more pleasant topic but this one I am about to share is one that should concern all of us, hunters and fisherman alike. PETA has become a major advertiser on ESPN radio. This creates a double standard for ESPN since it has always supported hunting and fishing on its television broadcasts. The big concern is not the advertising of PETA on ESPN radio, but possibility of larger media companies becoming involved. ESPN and ESPN radio is owned by The Disney Company along with other holdings such as ABC. If they put their weight behind PETA we could be in for a war. I hope my fears do not resolve themselves, but we as sportsmen need to be aware.
