I just redid the test because of the results I got with BG. BG was much more consistent this time. There must have been a Knick in the line from the first test. I am much happier with BG now. Also, The new stren has much less memory that BG these days. So what I have learned is that both lines are great. What we have these days to catch fish is a blessing.

I started a forum a little ago about mono lines. A lot of people on here seemed to be huge fans of big game, so I decided to order some. Just did a straight strength test between stren and big game of the same diameter(which is 14lb stren and 12lb big game). I tested them both 3 times with three yards. Big game had the strongest run(barely), but the average went to stren. Stren was way more consistent and broke at about 14.5lb each time. The big game was the opposite. The lowest it broke at was 8.5lb, but also broke at almost 16. Another thing that I noticed was that the stren stretched a good amount more than big game. Just thought I would share my experiment.

My biggest last year was 5.42(but I wasn’t targeting big bass). A lot of 7-8’s came out of portage lakes.

I take guided trips every March on lake Okeechobee. I have four full days starting the 22nd

For the start of the year should I fish below 44? Have you had any luck with smallies?

How’d you fish Rockwell? I’ve been fishing Mogadore a little but I’ve never got anything over 4. Have any secret spots you wanna share lol? As for ladue I’ve caught some nice smallies but no lmb. I live like 15 from Ladue so maybe I should put some more time on the water there. Any advice for me? You seem like you know your stuff
