I’ve heard some guys target smallies on silver, and would like to try that out a little. Any tips or tactics on smallmouth on silver would be appreciated

Went to conesus after returning from thousand islands, to try are new boat out. The sad part is could only mange to catch 2 fish !! That would have kept. I was expecting a little better after my buddy caught 23lbs a couple days before. Even the tourney guys had 19lbs, definitely low for that lake. The bigger of the 2 caught on a dock and only one on the weed line, after flipping it all day!!! I don’t know weather I need to slow down or fish some new water.

On conesus today ended up with just under 14lbs, fish are considerably thin so I would think those same fish in the summer would convert to a bag around 16. Caught 14 lbs under one dock and could not find them anywhere else. The bite was on usual finesse style baits. What would you guys suggest for finding more fish in general, and generating more bites on conesus?

Went out on silver from 7-1230, and it was tough. Got skunked tried everything from docks in 1ft to docks 10ft and inner, outer and middle of weed edges. Also tried some cranking .... I need some answers:(

Headed out on conesus today In hopes of some post spawners ended up with 10 between sight fishing up shallow (4-5ft) and Docks. Caught some long fish that didn’t weigh barely anything. (18 inch smallmouth went 1.77lb) One on chatterbait and rest on finesse baits. Where should I go to target the bigger fish and where will they be most commonly ?coming up it seems like there in a transition phase

Do you think the boat launch at silver will be open for this weekend?

Blade baits and lipless? Or Ned?

Was thinking about the up coming season and had a genuine question about fishing mornings and evenings on silver, or conesus. I was wondering what you guys targeted in end of June to beginning of August. Also do you find yourself throwing a popper or spook or like a frog? Thx in advance

When you say shallow you mean like 4-6 right?

And still fish in like 8-11 ft for weeds?

Having some trouble on conesus the last couple days, have caught decent numbers to my standards in mid summer up to 2 weeks ago on the usual t-rig and it just shut off for us the last couple days. If someone could leave some tips it would be greatly appreciated because I normally don’t fish in the later summer and into fall as much as I do In the summer. Thanks

Hey guys have been out on conesus a couple times over the past couple weeks, me and my dad have done better than average for us which is normally terrible, we have started to catch a few in the weeds and docks some 2-4’s. Was wondering while the summer moves along if they are moving to deep water and if so how deep? 15? Or are they moving under deep docks ? Lastly I was wondering if y’all ever used or experimented with dipping dyes of any sort? Thanks any reply will be a help thanks again

Okay thanks, Ya I went out there last summer for a whole day and my brother caught one 3LB-er and that was it, Do you think texas rigged, wacky or Ned rig slow baits are good, also having the same problem at conesus, I didnt know you could catch them on those big swimbaits
