Hi, hope everyone enjoying their fall,
I'm posting in seeking if anyone is willing to take a young college student out on a day of fishing in one of the many Alabama fisheries. See I'm not from here, I've lived in Oregon all of my life and just recently about year ago got very interested into fishing, specifically bass fishing. Currently am visiting my Grandma and helping her with a great deal of things. Awhile I'm here I would love to experience a real day of fishing in Alabama, I don't have a vehicle expect my Maw's and it seems that the most closest fishing spots are private ponds. I'm just a young 23 year old recently graduated college student, who has dreamed of fishing in one of the greatest states for it. I don't have money for a guide service, a boat, or really much fishing gear but I can provide money for gas, buy breakfast/lunch/dinner, snacks, tackle, and be a respectful guest. I'm located in Blount county, it seem far stretched but it be ideal to carpool, unless my grandma can manage not having a vehicle for the day. This is no way to take advantage of your generosity, part of this is actually in hope to one of the great citizens of Alabama and hear your story.
A little more about me.
Just recently getting inspired by fishing from hearing stories of my dad/grandaddy, I realized that it was more than just a sport. It was a family tradition, something that was enjoyed for many reasons. This was a around a year and a half ago and ever since I've been a fishing addict. Growing up and living in Oregon, a great state for fishing but not outstanding for bass. Not having access to a boat made it difficult or having very unproductive days provided myself the realization that fishing is more than just catching. It's the connection with nature, the relationships/bonds that are built, and the environment of escaping the commitments of living. Besides fishing, I love SEC football, golf, skiing, and farming. I'm very well mannered, respectful, and well behaved. I appreciate any help or suggestion, and thank y'all.
