In the last 3 to 4 months I've did countless research on 894 and 895 wondering how one compares to the other. I ended up with both and the 895 is tip heavy but easily balanced out by chair leg cap inserted with quarters. It's perfect for 3/4 to 1oz jigs. I like a little tip on my rod as I bank fish and cast out deep so 895 is the perfect beast. 894 is more sensitive out of the two but it's ideal for 1/2 to 3/4 range.
