  1. @papajoe222 Thank you! Found one that wasn’t pre-spooled but I bought it. My friend knows how to do that and has 10 pound test so he said he’d set it up for me. I have some 1/2 oz lures but I’ll get some 3/8oz ones.
  2. @WRBI don't go fishing too often and am not rich enough to buy anything expensive. I'm spending about $50 on the rod/reel. Just something to use 2 weeks of the year for some fun that'll be reliable.
  3. @Big Rick Correct, sorry forgot to throw that in.
  4. Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, I'm going fishing in 2 weeks and want to buy a new rod and need advice. Pretty new to this type of stuff so excuse any misuse of terminology. I'm trying to decide between a 3000 size reel, medium heavy that's 6'6 with 10 pound line or a 2000 size reel, medium that's 6' with 10 pound line. I'll be going for bass/walleye with this rod. I have a second rod for pan fish but it's 6 pound test Medium light and I wanted a better rod. I have the rod picked out, I just need help deciding which size would be best for it. I'll be fishing on an open lake without any thick grass or anything in Wisconsin over a 2 week span.
