I bought the active target and installed it but was wondering how far up the trolling motor you mount the mount? I have 36v ulterex if that matters. I was also wondering does the head of the trolling motor effect the sonar any? Looks like with the factory lowrance mount the transducer would be hitting the motor head some messing up the return some?

I have a 01 bass tracker pro crappie 175 and currently have a minn Kota edge 55 lb. I’m wanting to go to a 24v minn Kota with spot lock. I already have a a spare battery and know you have to tie them together but I was wondering is there anything else I need? Will the stock wiring handle a 24v trolling motor? I was also wondering about the trolling motor plug up front? I’m sure the 24v won’t fit in the plug in. I was wondering if you guys can help me out on all the parts I need so I can make one order. Which minn Kota tm withspot lock would you guys recommend ? Thank in advance for the help.

Would the 320v be a better boat than a bass tracker ? I wanna stay around the $7,000 range. I went and looked at the 320v its in extremely good condition garage kept its whole life and the mercury 115 has been recently serviced. I can get it for $7,000. I know its premium but seems like boats prices are outrageous.

What would be a good price? It has a 115 mercury on it .

I’m on the market for my first boat. I’m wanting something I can take my son out on the Ohio river to fish. I’m not gonna be fishing tourneys or anything just wanting something that can get us out on the water that’s stable and safe. I’ve been shopping around and the cost of a old 14 foot jon boat is $4500 might as well spend a few thousand more and get something stable that you can actually stand up in. It’s a 16 ft ranger 320v. The boat is mint and garaged kept and looks like new. Would this be a good first boat or I’ll take all the advice on your guys opinion on what I should get. Like I said I’m just looking for something that stable and will get us on the water comfortably and preferably around $8,000. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yeah this is exactly why I was asking because I fish ponds 90% of the time and don’t feel like dragging 5 poles with me. I tried a small circle hook but they seem like they swallow it 50% of the time I know I should set the hook earlier but even when I set it early it hooked them deep seemed like.

I don’t fish senkos wacky very much usually Texas rigged and was wondering if I could use a 2/0 or 3/0 Ewg hook for wacky and if I want to throw it in cover just rig it Texas style with the same hook? I know wide gap finesse hooks are popular for wacky but was wondering if anybody used Ewg for wacky rigs? thanks

I went shiner fishing in Florida for the first time and had a blast. We caught 30+ in 5 hours couple 6 lber couple 5 lbers and alot of 3 and 4 lbers. I want to go again at the end of the month but the guide i went last time is booked for the whole year. i was wondering if you guys had any recommendations on some good guides for some trophy size bass in Florida?
