Thank you for the welcome. Russ, I was thinking about making the trip up there, it's a nice lake from what I have seen randomly finding it while on my motorcycle last year. Smithville is hard from the shore caught a Freshwater drum the other day other than that 1/2 to 1 lbs bass. jimmy if you make it my way bring your poles. actually if anyone is my way bring your poles.

Hello, so finally have the time to fish more. After 12 years in the service, battling my own brain for the past few years, I am now starting hobbies to help me get better, motorcycles have done that and now I am starting to fish again. Still looking for a small boat to get off the shoreline, if you know of a fishing spot near Kansas City, Mo I would love to hear about it. Smithville Lake is only 5 mins from the house so I normally go there. Anyway, hope to get some great information and maybe a friend or two who knows. have a great day.
