    Ok so all rods have a certain # test they can handle but when a rod says 10-20 # test for example but you will be using braided line how do you know what you can and can't use? Sorry if this question is confusing.

    It's definitely only rated up to 3/8. I do appreciate all the help so far though

    Hello everyone, I am new to these forums but I have a quick question. I just did a bunch of research on rods for crankbaits and settled on the Lew's Hack Attack 7' Medium Power Moderate action. Now the specs on the rod says it can handle up to a 3/8 oz lure. However the KVD 1.5 I use is 7/16 I believe. Will that have any impact on the rod? Will I risk breaking the rod?
