  2. @A-Jay What paddle tail swimbait trailers are those?
  3. What trailers do y’all prefer for chatterbaits and for swim jigs? I used the zako for the chatterbaits and it proved effective. Just wanted to get an opinion on others for either chatters or swim jigs.
  4. Okay gotcha. Good advice. Low light and windy days. Which swim jigs do you like and what do you think of terminator spinnerbaits?
  5. I meant like a keitech, I bank fish so I don’t ever really throw a giant swimbait. Okay so what’s the purpose of throwing a spinnerbait in clean water? (I prefer them in dirty water as well) I’ve always wondered that option.
  6. Shoot, swim jig. And while we are at it, the swimbait as well lol i fixed the title just to clarify, thanks
  7. I’ll try to keep this short n sweet.. When would be the preferred time to throw one over the other. Specifically in clean/clear water. A spinnerbait with silver willow blades and a shad colored skirt would be for clearer water in theory. If a swim jig is more of a sight lure, then when/why would I choose the Spinnerbait over the swim jig in the clean/clear water? just trying to understand when to throw one over the other, also any tips for either lure would be much appreciated. Tight lines.
  8. Gotcha I plan on only buying the 5/16 since I’m a bank fisherman. I’m thinking a paddle tail and/or a craw trailer should work for that weight. I should be okay with a paddle or craw trailer at that weight. Correct?
  9. As far as people who use craw trailers (I’ll be using keitech, rage swimmer and skinned dipper as my paddle tails) would you use the rage menace or menace jr, it’ll be on a 5/16 swim jig. Same with a rage craw full size or jr? thanks again guys y’all have been a ton of help. Tight lines
  10. It’ll most likely be on a 5/16 swim jig, just curios if you guys would go with the menance (NOT the magnum) or menace jr. thanks for the responses same with the rage craw, (full size or jr?) thanks once again, y’all been a big help. Tight lines.
  11. Guys, ya know, I’m just fishing small farm ponds in Texas, they don’t get terribly deep but they hold some hogs. I appreciate all the replies and help. Tight lines.
  12. @fishwizzard what depths are you throwing that 1/4 oz swim jig in? @Marcus Y. do you still throw 3/8 oz with a craw trailer?
  13. Okay, I gotcha now! Thanks!!
  14. I guess I’m a little confused now, one person said the swim baits trailers creates lifts and the other says it doesn’t...so which one is it ? ? “Since the paddle tails give it lift 3/8 is what I use 90% of the time.” “Swim bait trailers seem to get down further”
  15. Okay cool, the main reason I ask is bc I wanna have only one weight for my swim jigs. I fish from the shore so I don’t wanna take lots of tackle with me. So ultimately I am trying to decide between those two weights. But reel faster, okay, I see what you’re saying just get a 3/8 and when I have on craw trailers on feel faster. And when it’s paddle trailers reel slower.
