I have only been into freshwater fishing the last year. Spinnerbaits and swim jigs (regular and chatters) got me hooked (as hold overs from inshore fishing) but, it wasn't until i really figured out and committed to the Texas Rig til could always catch fish on every pond trip.

^ definitely catches the fish. accounts for 75% of my fishing. If they don't take the stick worm, i switch up to a ribbon tail and then it gets eaten. Also, I will put a fat albert grub and catch the smaller ones.

Nice! I just started dabbling with it but haven't had luck yet. 2 good blow ups (didn't get either hooked) , a few slaps but nothing consistent enough to keep me trying. Using a Lunkerhunt natural looking frog, skirt legs. I can never get past 10 casts myself.

I have the same issue with my Revo X. I feel like i have to run it a little low on line to perform well.
