A few years ago while stationed at Oceana We used to get a lot of bass in Pungo out of the West Neck Marina in west neck creek and also in pogutty [sic] creek. Also a ways down river by the beach and bridge. there is a horse shoe bend with a ski jump ramp and a side creek that goes back a long way into the swamp.

You failed to mention all the canals dug to raise the land out of the swamp. Any canal especialy after a rain with some water movement will supply a few nice bass. My best canal bass, 7 + , here in Charlotte county.

For years I watched the fishing go down hill in lake Istokpoga as the weeds disappeared. Now that I moved to kissimmee looks like I get to watch it again.
