Hey guys, took apart this old reel to learn and clean up and can’t get the bail assembly back together. Can anyone tell me how this metal piece is installed? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, just started fishing and have a ton of questions. Here’s two for now 1. For salt water: What lb test braided line is good for stripers, inshore, etc.?? And what LB test leader would go good with that? Is there a rule of thumb what lb test leaders Go well with main line? Or do you put on a leader for the weight of the fish you’re fishing for? Mono or fluro leader for fishing sand worms and poppers? 2. Same questions for freshwater application but fishing for bass, carp etc??
