Has anyone ever tried to separate the top and bottom halves of one of these. I just bought one 2 months ago and it's an older version (1993) and the previous owner had sealed the bottom drain plug so no water was being removed and sitting in the boat(between the top and bottom half). When I removed it I got about 12 gallons out of it. Also I am wanting to rewire it and I have bought a new 4 gang rocker switch to replace the factory one. I'm looking for answers and after weeks of trying this is the first discussion board I have found.
