  1. Tatula seems to be pretty much sold out. So is the fury cb any good ?
  2. It’s Black Friday so would like to capitalize on some deals to purchase my next rod. I am looking for a rod under $150 that can be my jerkbait/crankbait/rattletrap rod if there is such a thing. I usually throw medium sized baits in all types. any suggestions would be appreciated. Im looking at dobyns fury 705CB right now.
  3. This season I will be using my first baitcaster for a second season. I would like to graduate from using 12lb mono to all fluorocarbon. The rod is a 7ft medium heavy dobyns sierra. I use this rod to throw jigs/crank baits/weighted Texas rigs/spinnerbaits/chatterbaits kinda my do everything rod. What brand/lb floro would you all recommend for this rod setup ? I know I’m asking a lot out of this rod but I can’t justify owning 10 different rods. I also own a heavy frogging setup that covers my top water needs.
  4. I ended up getting the 7’ aird-x heavy paired with a lews speed spool lfs (very purdy reel btw) and gonna put 50# power pro on it. Got some googan filthy frogs black white and bullfrog on the way as well . Now we wait for winter to end lolol. Also hoping I can successfully flip some heavy jigs with this same setup in the thick stuff that my med/hvy dobyns won’t do well in
  5. What do all recommend for braid for this setup ? Brand/color/#test
  6. Well I bought the aird-x 7ft heavy today from TW to pair with a lews speed spool lfs. Hope I made the right choice lololol. this will become my frogging/flipping rod. I overthink this stuff way too much cause I hate spending money ?
  7. Gosh you guys are making me lean towards the daiwa aird-x now
  8. But if I fish up north in sparser cover can’t I really get away with a 4 power though ?
  9. About to take advantage of bjs k Friday and get the 6’6” dobyns fury heavy for my frog rod. I know everyone says it’s more like a med heavy but I already have a fury med heavy. Is this a dumb move ? I want the 6’6” length and this rod is the best I can find Lolol *black friday I can’t help myself I love the rods.
  10. The only reason I want the 6’6’ is because it’s so hard to work too water frogs with longer rods on the bank. Maybe I just suck lolol
  11. I was looking at some 13 fishing rods. Is that really a step down from dobyns ?
  12. Looking for a budget frogging setup during this years Black Friday deals. The last couple years I have purchased a couple dobyns rods and was pleased with their craftsmanship. This year I am looking for a 6’6’ frogging rod under $120. I bank fish mostly so looking for something short that I can work easily. I already have a med hvy rod so looking for a hvy. Also I’m deciding between another daiwa tatula ct or an slx for my reel. What say you guys ? Sell me on something.
  13. I bought a dobyns sierra 7ft casting rod last year it was my first baitcaster setup. I didn’t fish with it hardly at all this year as I was primarily learning how to use and cast the baitcaster. The rod seems pretty awesome but honestly I’m so new to fishing I don’t have anything to compare it too. I can tell you though it’s a purdy rod.
  14. Just got a new spinning rod dobyns fury 7ft medium. Took advantage of the tackle warehouse sale 20% off and got it for $95. I went against my gut and grabbed it before the sale ended without doing much research. Did I make a good choice ? It’s gonna be my bass finesse rod.
