The outfitter says it’s good fishing…..and I have no reason to doubt him. But, having never caught or fished for walleye, I hope there are some dumb, hungry ones in the lake! Thanks for all of the advice. Last night we made a battery box for the portable fish finder. If nothing else, it has been good to keep the kids off of their devices…

Thank you. We are fishing Lake Simard. I would like to night crawlers or minnows, but seem to have read that you can’t take them across the border. Any truth to that?

It is a dream trip for me……just want to keep them busy and away from electronics…..except maybe a battery powered depth finder!

I am new to posting in this forum but not new to forum classifieds. I typically try to research items that I need and then see if anyone has them available, but used, for better prices. I have two young boys (12 and 14) and this type of shopping helps me to be able to afford to buy tackle or gear for both of them, rather than just 1…..or neither. Some forums allow me unlimited messaging while others have limits. I believe I am currently limited to 1 message per day unless I post more on the general forums. Sadly, being someone who does not fish a lot, I guess I dont have much that I feel is germaine to most of the conversations. So, as to respectfully and responsibly using the forum and still trying to find some tackle at a reasonable price, while also helping a more senior member to get rid of stuff he does not want……would it be more appropriate for me to post a WTB ad….in the Flea MKt forum? I am taking my boys to Quebec in July and we are fishing for walleye….I have been looking for some used crankbaits for them to be able to just throw out and retrieve. We have casted jig heads/powder coated them/glued eyes to them and clear coated them….and tied deer hair skirts on them. It has been an amazing experience. So as to crankbaits, any suggestions would be appreciated…..and I sincerely appreciate the forum and its rules….just want to operate within them. Thanks in advance for any help. Tad
