POND FISHING WITH WADERS
Thanks for all the advice and replies. I never did use the waders, although I have not ruled it out either. A week or two after my original post, I did fall into a different pond, from the one I was considering using the waders in, while balancing on a log. I brought a pair of tall rubber boots with me a few times i went back to the pond, I wanted to use the waders in. I have gone out a little bit and I see how helpful they can be but also have seen how the soft bottom can cause you to sink fast. Fortunately, I have been pretty careful and have not had any accidents while using them. In fact using them gave me access to make a few casts which help me get a few chains that I would never had been able to cast to from shoreline.

NORTHERN NJ APRIL BASS FISHING
Wanted to get some opinions on whether the bass fishing in northern NJ has ripened to the point where bass are starting to move into the shallows to feed? It's been a little cold the last week or so but this week has things warming up a bit.

POND FISHING WITH WADERS
Looking to use my waders Simms and separate wading boots to fish a small pond. I only need to walk around the waters edge as the place only has a few open spots to fish. The water appears very shallow less than a foot and clear but I suspect a soft bottom. Have never waded before any advice or considerations before I go? I researched on line and already know to keep my weight on my forward foot and watch every step as there may be a whole or depth may change suddenly.

Bergen county nj pickerel fishing
Strictly catch and release angler looking for bodies of water in the Bergen County area ( if possible close to the Pascack Valley) that hold Chain Pickerel. I am aware of those off Skyline Dr already (seem like they might be burned already by bucket brigade at least for chains) and Potash Lake. I've been told parts of the Passaic River system (Passaic county) hold them as well. Fish and Game places to fish document from 2003 is no longer reliable as White's in Waldwick never had chains and Oradell did not either.
