Hi, Great thread with useful information so thanks! I’m fairly knowledgeable on surfcasting but “green” with fresh water. Camping Danforth Memorial Day with my boys (8&12) We all have new poles so plan to rent a canoe a few days and have a go at it. I figured the inlets and edges would be best but was curious where exactly that hot spot was? Plan to use jerkbaits, spinners and earthworms as the boys will be happy catching anything. if anyone has some advice on surrounding area let me know as we’ve never been there before. If your local and wanted to tag along I could rent 2 kayaks and we could cover ground. I’m just looking to have a good time with boys as they’re excited. Chef from Boston so I know how to cook it at least lol.....
