Hi all, I'm new to all this, so please go easy on me! I have a 96 HydraSports 171 bassboat, and I'm installing a Helix 7 MDI. I've read the directions for the transducer mount about 12 times, watched videos, googled it and still am confused, so any help would be greatly appreciated. The back of the boat has 3 steps, the bottom is the main drain centered, the middle step has 2 live well intakes and two ports on either side. From what I'm seeing am I supposed to mount the transducer so that its 1/4 inch below the bottom? If I mount it anywhere else it seems that I would get turbulence from the step in front.

Hi all, looking for help in mounting a new transducer on a 96 Hydra sport bass boat. Original was in hull, but I have a Helix 7 mega DI I'm installing. The rear of the boat has 3 steps, the very bottom has the drain, the middle has two live well apertures.
