  1. The highest visual acuity in a fish is still only about half as sharp as a human being says Caves. And braided line almost always breaks at the knot. And I’ve never caught a bass with big teeth. So why add a piece of line and an extra knot to any main line that you couldn’t see five feet down on a bright sunny day?
  2. Hadn’t thought of both up front. That would be really convenient for me. Thank you.
  3. Thanks for replying. I am going to wire them in parallel but with the added weight and the tight fit I was just wondering if putting the 2nd battery up front would be a good idea.
  4. Bought a 12v Terrova for my old tracker pro crappie and I’m considering adding a spare battery in case the spot lock function is a huge drain on the battery. Would there be any advantages to putting the extra battery in the bow?
  5. Thanks for the replies. I think I’ll give it a try. Now if I can find line that’s bright enough and big enough that I can see it but small enough I can cast it, I might catch something. Well, maybe.
  6. New to forum. Relatively new to fishing, old man with questions. I bought a used 2004 tracker pro crappie with a 40hp 2 stroke because bank fishing required too much walking/climbing. It’s fine for the little reservoir close to home but I’d like to fish the Tennessee river and a couple TVA lakes so Im looking for opinions on is the boat/motor big enough to fish those waters?
