Don't sleep on claytor

Dragging the jon boat and the trolling motor down to Phelps for the weekend. Never fished this type of environment with the cypress trees and the super clear water. Probably going to put in on the south of the lake (if ramps are open fingers crossed). Any tactics, tips on lures, presentation would be welcomed. Doing my own research but would like to hear from some people who have hands on experience there. Thanks

Just buy a kayak, if you continue to bank fish you are just going to run in to the same headaches over and over. I went through the exact same process as you. I am telling you, you will be much happier getting skunked at the state park or Powhatan lakes paddling around being in nature rather than walking around some trash pond at an office complex.
