Thanks for everyone's help. Bought the Vanford 2500 for the Reinforcer rod. Hope it catches fish.

Maribou and Ned rod questions
Thanks to all for your help. I just got a good deal on a 6'10" Ark Reinforcer from TW which I'll use for my Ned rod. It looks like a St. Croix Victory will be my light hair jig rod.

Maribou and Ned rod questions
Is sensitivity much better on the Expride and Ark compared to the St. Croix Victory? I want to throw 1/16 ounce Maribous without a trailer. The Expride isn't rated that low. Would I have a problem throwing that light of a bait on it? Thanks again.

Maribou and Ned rod questions
Loking for a rod for these presentations. Narrowed down to three: 7'3" Ark Reinforcer, 7'2" Expride B and the new 13 Fishing Envy Black 3. Any thoughts. I'd like to know if any of these would have a soft enough tip section to fling lighter baits if I choose. Thanks for your help.

Stradic FL, Vanford or Tatula LT. Talk me into it.
Ordering the Ark this week. I think I'll bring it with on my next trip to the store to see which of the three reels feels the best. I wish the 2500 and 3000 size Tatula had a shallower spool. Not into filling with backing. Thanks again.

Stradic FL, Vanford or Tatula LT. Talk me into it.
The reel will be put on a 7'3" Ark Reinforcer that weighs 4.1 ounces, if that is any help. Need a new light reel for a 6 foot GL3 too, Thanks again.

Thanks everybody. Any one better or worse with line management? (mono)

Stradic FL, Vanford or Tatula LT. Talk me into it.
Got to handle all three at BPS. Vanford was the least smooth, Stradic FL was like butter, but had noticeable wobble and Tatula LT was great, but didn't feel as sturdy as the Stradic. Thoughts and opinions please. All in 2500 or 3000 size. Thanks.

Casting reel for the inexperienced
Are any of these reels capable of throwing heavier baits?

Casting reel for the inexperienced
I've fished spinning gear all my life. The only experience I have with casting reel was an Ambassador 5500 many years ago. Backlashes kept me from using that type of reel. I realize the newer low profile reels make the learning curve much easier. I'm looking at the Curado DC, the Tatula Elite , Tatula SV and Tatula SV TW 103. I'm unsure of the differences in the various Tatula iterations. Could someone please enlighten me? It will most likely be an all purpose reel for applications unsuitable for my spinning gear. How much line do I need (in Yards) on a casting reel? I use 12-20 pound Mono. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Tatula Elite AGS vs. Expride vs. Orochi XX for river smallies
Thanks Short Fish. I'm leaning towards the MB Addermine with a Vanford 3000 reel. Sound like a good combo?

Tatula Elite AGS vs. Expride vs. Orochi XX for river smallies
I've decided to add a few higher $$ rods to the mix. Fenwich Legend X or Legend elite and the MB Destroyer Addermine. Would the Addermine be to much rod for my smaller choices? Any suggestions woild e appreciated. Thanks again.

Tatula Elite AGS vs. Expride vs. Orochi XX for river smallies
I may have been asking too much with a 1/2 bait. I could use my Helium L-M-H for those. Thanks.

Tatula Elite AGS vs. Expride vs. Orochi XX for river smallies
Fast or extra fast? I never was sure what the benefits are regarding one versus the other. Some enlightenment would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Tatula Elite AGS vs. Expride vs. Orochi XX for river smallies
Sorry, it will be a spinning rod. The Daiwa is the AGS Medium Ehler 7'1" and the Orochi Whipsnake or Shakyhead. Dobyns Champion XP med light can be added to the list. Thanks for your help.

Tatula Elite AGS vs. Expride vs. Orochi XX for river smallies
Can anyone help me choose? Primary use will be smaller swift and possibly weedy small rivers(DuPage). I hope to use it for Neds, jigs and tubes etc. I will use 8 pound mono on it. Will an extra fast taper be better than a fast, and how will each cast baits from 1/8 to 1/2 ounce? I have a Kistler Helium I use now and have an itch to add a little lighter power rod. Thanks for your help.

Help me choose a spinning rod: Phenix M1, Daiwa Tatula Elite or Powell Max
Anyone?

Help me choose a spinning rod: Phenix M1, Daiwa Tatula Elite or Powell Max
For fast eelgrass filled rivers, small ponds and occasional bigger water. Which would you recommend for smallies? Neds, small jigs and swimbaits is what I'll be throwing from the bank or wading. I'd rank sensitivity high on my wish list. I already have a Phenix X10 for my trebles and Kistler Helium 3 for a little heavier use. Please limit it to those three choices. Thanks.
