I'm installing a YakAttack's thru hull wiring kit on my yak and the instructions say:
"We recommend applying silicone to the grommets around the wires and in between the two halves for added water protection."
Do they mean silicone sealant or silicone lubricant? Hull is polyethylene and the wiring mount is ABS so I guess I don't need to worry about it being too permanent. How have y'all installed yours? Sealant, lubed or dry?
I have a 73sv and went with a RAM-B-111U since I had 1" balls on my yak already. RAM recommends 1.5" (size C) mounts for the 73sv and 2.25" (size D) for the 93sv. So far the smaller size has been OK for my application, but you should probably go 1.5" or 2.25" on yours since it weighs a good bit more.
