  1. Yes I have, I took the spool off the reel when I took apart the reel to try and fix it. I also took all the line out and restrung the line so I know it is not a line issue.
  2. I have a pfluger President spinning reel and when I reel in the line after a cast the spool is supposed to go up and down to evenly lay the line across the spool. But my spool very oftenly skips a little bit so the spool while I am reeling will go up and down then jump a little bit. And occasionally the spool will stop moving up and down and just lay line in the middle of the spool. I looked up and tried to find the issue and it told me to check and make sure the *** on the oscillating gear wasn’t broken and even though it wasn’t broken the screw there was very loose so I tightened it up. I thought this would solve the problem but the spool still skips when it goes up and down. Anyone have any clue what may be causing the spool to not go up and down smoothly like it should?

  4. Hey I am new to fishing and I recently got a size 30 pfluger president spinning reel. I did not realize it was not ok for the reel to stay submerged in water. I live by a freshwater lake and I was fishing with my whole reel submerged underwater for about ten minutes. Now when I reel in after a cast the reel will sometimes get stuck and it will also only thread the line in the middle of the spool not evenly. Any suggestions on what to do? Should I take the whole reel apart? Should I take all the line out and reel it back in? Do I need to oil anything in the reel? Thank you guys if you can help sorry I am kind of dumb. If anyone has anything that might be helpful to me please tell me thanks.
