Hey guys, so looking for some advice in my situation please nothing harsh I feel like I messed up bad enough as is.
So I’ve been looking for a tin boat for a while now needed to be under 2000lbs due to towing restrictions. After a long time of looking used without finding anything good decided to finance new. Picked up a tracker 160 on Saturday. (For the life of me I’m still not sure why I paid more for this model over the classic, originally I saw the classic was like 1750lbs package weight and I figured after I loaded it up And made some mods, I’d be right up to my towing capacity, the 160 is less than 1500lbs.) anyways took the boat on the water for the first time and I get why everyone on here preaches about size, I couldn’t stand in the d**n thing without feeling like I could tip! Seriously the stability on this boat even with one person is awful, the front casting deck is basically for sitting and that can get sketchy. I’m not trying to come off snobby here, It’s just hard for me to imagine gettig much use out of something I use for leisure, when I feel uncomfortable and unsafe, even worse knowing there’s a 7 year payment plan with it.
Currently Owe around 10k on the boat, this all just blows, I’m gonna be working I disagree off to pay for something I won’t use because Im not comfortable or safe in the d**n thing. I can probably knock it off in about 3 and a half years if I hustle and try to sell it myself or trade in for something bigger, would I be better off trying to sell without pink slip ? Wondering if anyone has any experience or advice for me, any help is appreciated.
