  1. Yea that’s extremely similar. Mine would just be the same thing with a cork, https://imgur.com/gallery/4uj7ufh But, I would buy an attachable/detachable version because of how good this one works
  2. It gives me a limit on the file size so here’s a link. https://imgur.com/gallery/4uj7ufh This is just a crappy prototype with household materials, the real will likely be 3D modeled and also attachable and detachable. What separates this from other attachable hook holders is that no matter how loose the line is, you can easily stick it into the cork and reel tight. Also you can use multiple for a multiple hook rig.
  3. I saw those, but I was thinking the cork material in mine would make it easy to just stick in there and reel it up until it’s tight. Does the Fuji give you any problems with that being hard to do or anything?
  4. Hi, for my senior project at school for the engineering pathway, I have to make a solution for a problem... and since I love fishing I thought it’d be a good idea to merge the two. After getting help brainstorming on Reddit, I came up with a solution that solves a minor problem but I would definitely still use it. For the project I need sources to validate the problem so if anyone seeing this thinks it is a viable solution or the problem is annoying please comment below so I can consider it an interview. My problem is that rods without hook keepers force people to either keep their hook in the line guide or the butt of their rods, both of which are bad for the rod’s condition. There are other attachment s to keep your hook, but they don’t address the second part of my problem. I’m not sure the extent of this part, besides those who I’ve talked to, but have you guys ever been annoyed when it’s either windy or your line is loose and it’s hard to hook up to the line guide? So, my solution, simplified, is a cork piece that can be attached and detached to the rod to allow for safe keeping of your hook without damaging your rod, and not risking it falling out and hooking something you don’t want it to. If you’ve made it this far thank you, if you don’t agree, please leave constructive criticism and not mean comments because reddit got too aggressive at me lol. If you do like the idea, or just want to help I would appreciate if you left a comment. Thank you!!
