  1. ugh...yea, sure you did.... (too soon?)
  2. if you're paddling/kicking with your rods standing up in rod holders behind you. do you have a pecking order? I mean, do you put them back into the same spot day after day.? in orchestra/band the best musician sits "first chair". do you have a first chair? yesterday as I was pulling off rod sleeve and stuffing rods into their holders, realize I do the same thing over and over. I dont know when that started. I used to go all willy-nilly. now? my bottom contact goes behind my left shoulder..heavier bottom contact (jig) goes right shoulder and it goes back from there. my drop shot is the furthest to reach. now I am strangely anal about it. you?
  3. yup. clearly the Chinook. when I bought mine, there was this annoying virus going around. along with the MIA toilet paper I couldnt find the Chinook to save my life (to close to reality to be a pun?). it was clearly the crowd favorite. I kept looking and finally found one in RED. it has been awesome. fits well, easy don/doff, floated me well, and I can shimmy back onto my flipped and righted kayak easily. that big front floatation pad allows me to grunt aboard with no problems. not sure I can do it in an inflatable. those are very voluminous. my red looks like butt. very faded. but wearing it 100% in the sun is brutal. I will buy another one soon. maybe a red one again. people recognize me on the water by it. hahah.. the Ninja is awesome but lacks pockets. I get the knife area, but I carry a whistle, go pro batteries, my cell phone, and my left pocket is my trash bin. line and food wrappers get stuffed inside. I have gotten accustomed to pockets.
  4. I have two sizes, 6" and 8" one color. green pumpkin, which is exactly how I would describe the color BROWN. (I do have one pack of 6^ junebug that my local bass love...love to ignore - I had to take them all the way to Mexico to get a single bite) and I find I do better rigging them as a dropshot tex-rig style.
  5. I didn’t jig-skunk! It was not my most productive bait at all. But the thumps were angry!!
  6. Well. I’ll let you all know. My jig rod will be in the 1st chair position. Headed out now.
  7. Tomorrow morning when I ease out into the lake it will be 34deg. Noon will be 68-70. Tough. I’m stripping layers and stuffing them into a dry sack. The fish? I’m not sure. Water warms slowly. you all fish huge temp swings? Successful? persomlly I’m looking for a DD. Fingers crossed. Always.
  8. I have two I bought for my kayak fishing. both NRS versions. the Chinook and the Ninja. the Ninja is way more comfy. but the Chinook has perfect pockets for me. I wear the Chinook and it looks it. faded, some tears, etc. my Ninja looks brand new. Both have flotation in the back that allows me to sit on the seat and lean back comfortably. I feel naked without the Chinook on.
  9. that's what the self dimming mirrors are for.
  10. Local store.
  11. I gave it a hue job.
  12. on the flip side, I am very successful with finesse jigs. my jig is the Keitech version 2. I do very well big jigs? opposite affect. I am not good. same ball head types. tomorrow I hope to change that. I tied on a big jig, big Yamamoto Flapping hog as a trailer. it is go time. big jigs get big bass right? I cant imagine working the bait any differently. dragging and small hopping it. I no think it looks good!
  13. great info. exactly what I was looking for. I'm rigging today at lunch. I'll doll up a bait for sure.
  14. no clue. but the one that tricks Smallies the most for me is essentially a gold one with a black black. I cant keep up with MB color names. its like a secret code.
  15. they should have told AI to make the hands smaller.
  16. Sadness. The last of my turkey is eaten. last bit went down as a Japanese KATSU
  17. his spinnerbait skills alone should put him on somebodies list!!
  18. sick!!! that is gonna work i think!!!
  19. i tailed hooked one in mexico recently. i thought it was a gigantic bass. on a finesse jig. i have only taken one carp in my life on purpose. and that was on a ball of rice crispy treat.
  20. i was going to repeat this.
  21. my new tacoma is relatively tech mild. i still need a cord to connect my phone to the truck. new headlights are a great modification. i can see better. i am not a curmudgeon, that resists technology and change. and i hope i never am. i still remember needing help to adjust the passenger side mirror. "up, no out a bit..no not that much..now down". that was awful. just awful.
  22. i finally bought some. my dippy jar in a kayak is too exciting. i wanted the Chartreuse so i could doll up a swimbait, but it came with orange as well in the 2-pack. i think i can handle what is essentially a highlighter. but orange? i think pink would have been the better pairing. are there other marker pens? brands? better or worse? i might write, "please bite me in yellow" on my swimbait.
  23. i love April Fools day. gullible? no not really, but i do appreciate humor, and i am grateful i have some. my coworker forged a memo demoting his friend and sent it to him. hahahha...went over perfectly. and we all laughed.
  24. I feel the same way. 7’s is my Goldilocks ratio.
  25. chiming in to view results..sound like it will be awesome!!
