Skifffishin

Hey guys, I've moved to St. Clair County/Blount County area from Florida. I've done salt water fishing most my life inshore and offshore so I feel lost with the freshwater environment. Any recommendations on lakes to start out at or a guide service I could pay to give me recommendations on gear to get? Mostly interested in Crappie, Stripers, catfish, and bass. I have a 21' Carolina Skiff, I plan on reading the articles on the site to figure out a well made set up to buy to get started. I currently have some offshore conventional reels and a lot of spinning reels. Thanks and any advice is greatly appreciated.
