  1. I agree with Road Warrior -- Yamamoto laminate, green back/chart belly.
  2. I tried Gamma copolymer on 3 spinning reels, 8 & 10 lb test. After fighting birds nests and uncoiling off the reel for a few days on a fishing trip, I took it all off and went back to good old XL. Which works just fine.
  3. I have an Old Town Loon 138 that I enjoy fishing from. If you are looking for a "sit inside" kayak for fishing it helps to have one like the Loon that has a longer cockpit, which makes it easier to handle fishing rods & tackle. For overall length I wouldn't go too much shorter than 13 or 14 feet long for stability, paddling speed, and gear storage.
  4. Very nice. I fish out of a very similar boat, an Old Town Loon 138. I use a Tite-lok rod holder. Those have a small surface mounted base that stays on the boat, and the rod holder can be installed and removed whenever you want. I've had the kayak for 10 years and I still don't know of any other boat I'd rather have.
  5. I bought some 10# clear Gamma for fishing the break walls of southern Lake Michigan. Very large rocks/boulders, some zebra mussels. I am planning on fishing tubes and Ika's. Do you think this line will take the abrasion from the rocks or is there something else I should try?
