  1. Thanks for your inputs guys. Based on what you two said I will likely buy the Johnny Morris rod but now I am also considering the Dobyns FR 795SB which is rated for 1-5 ounces. I suspect 80% of my swimbait fishing will be with lures under 2 ounces. Given that, would I be happier with a rod rated for 1-2 ounces and just deal with the heavier lures that I will use only on occasion or does the heavier rod make more sense?
  2. Hi everyone, I'm new here and don't have any experience fishing swimbaits for bass. I'm looking for a reasonably priced rod to throw large baits such as the S Waver 168's and possibly larger for bass and stripers. What reviews I can find for the rod are good in general but I was wondering if anyone owns this particular one for swimbaits: JCT79HTF 7'9" Heavy/Fast. It is rated for 1-4 oz baits. I will probably get a Curado 300 for the reel. Thanks for your inputs!
