  1. So I fish a small lake in Central WI, around Green Lake if you know where that is and with the recent weather I'm not sure where the bass are in the spawn stage. Most of the last week was rain and with having school, I wasn't able to get out much. When I did go last, which was yesterday, the temps up shallow were 72 degrees and main lake was 69. This lake is only about 140 acres with visibility of about 10ft. There are still some bass on beds but they are not locked and some bluegill have moved onto beds too. If anyone else fishes in the same area or has similar conditions just let me know what you found worked.
  2. Yeah I believe the JDM is a size 100 spool and the U.S. is a 150.
  3. Hey everyone, I've been talking with some people on here, other sites, and in person and I had a couple questions. First, I have read and heard that Asian Portal Fishing is a reliable site with fast shipping but just checking if anyone has experience with them. Also, I was wondering how the JDM 2020 Metanium compares to a U.S. Metanium MGL 150 B. I am looking because I just bought a Expride (and plan on buying more) and I want to run the same reel on the (2-3 rods). Lastly, would the JDM Metanium remain in circulation for a while to come as I would want to purchase some more later on and as I stated, want to have the same reel on the 2-3 Exprides. Really sorry if these are beginner questions I am quite new to Bass Fishing but I love the sport and spend all my free-time reading as much as I can. Thanks, Wil
  4. Ok thanks very much! I am deciding whether I should do a 7'2" MH Expride and a Chronarch right now or if I should wait until Black Friday and try and save some money (If in stock). The Expride just re-stocked and the Chronarch is still out but I would have a K that I could put on it for the time being. Any thoughts as I really can't decide.
  5. Hey just wondering if anyone knows if the MGL ever goes on sale (like during Black Friday ect.). I heard that Shimano and a lot of other brands like G. Loomis don't show the actual price of rods and reels during Black Friday until you get the confirmation order email. "Almost everything" is on sale but I was wondering if the MGL is and if it is in stock. FYI: I would be looking for a 7.1:1 Right handed one. Thanks, Wil
  6. Got a few questions for the St. Croix guys. I'm thinking about getting a few different models of Legend Tournaments or Exprides this year but I was leaning towards the St. Croix as it is nearly impossible to pick up an Expride right now(in the power/action I am looking for). What I was wondering is if anyone has experience with the 7'4" Heavy for frogging and the 6'8" Medium Jerkbait Legend Tournaments and what you like/dislike. Also, if you happen to know if they come on sale on TackleWarehouse I would greatly appreciate the info as I have a large gift card I would like to use. Thanks for the help, Wil
  7. Check out BPS or a Cabelas in your area as they are having a sale starting on the 11th. You could pick up a Garmin 73sv for $350 off and upgrade to a GT56 transducer and still be saving a lot. Also, the Helix 7 MEGA Si is going to on sale along with some other fish finders.
  8. Thanks for all the info! This is my first decent fish finder so I just went for the GT54 because I was able to get it brand new for $500 which was nice. I will likely upgrade the transducer later but most lake I fish are quite small as of now so I will try this and see how it works.
  9. I am going to purchase a fish finder for my Hobie Pro Angler and I have to decide between these three units. My main question is what the difference between the GT54 and GT56 ducer is. I know that you have better frequency options with the 56 but I was just trying to get some clarification. Thanks, Wil
