By that i meant i wouldn’t spend 7-10k on a car that is 20 years old but people spend that much and more for a bass boat that is that old. I did not know if the value is in the motor or where thats what I am trying to figure out.

I am looking at purchasing my first bass boat and i have a few questions i hope someone can answer. 1. Do bass boats hold their value more over time? For example is a bass boat from 2000-2005 going to work better than a car from the same time? I see a lot of decent looking bass boats from that time and want to know if they are worth 6-7k+. 2. Will a bass boat from 2000-2005 need constant repairs like a car from that time might? 3. If i bought a bass boat from 2000-2005 and put a newer motor on it would that be a good option? 4. Is the motor the most common thing that has to be repaired on a bass boat? If not please tell me what is. I just want to make an informed choice before I make my first big purchase figured I’d ask some experienced people that have owned boats before or have more knowledge than me. I just want a good reliable boat that wont need repairs very often. Thank you very much in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer any of my questions. Is there a way to buy a new jon boat from an older years model? For example a brand new 2015 lowe or alumacraft? Do they still make older year models or only recent ones? Thanks in advance this will be my first jon boat so i dont have much knowledge on them.

Looking for a new anchor for my 10ft jon boat that pulls up the least mud and grass. My boat is light so im looking for an anchor less than 10lbs. Most of the bottom that i am fishing is grass. Please give me any suggestions besides poles and thank you in advance.

Im interested in the poison adrena 6’11” medium + fast action rod. I was wondering if the plus power made it as versatile as a medium heavy i have no experience with plus power rods any help would be appreciated. What im really asking is how much should i spend on a rod that is paired with a $420 reel? I have the 2020 metanium and i have it paired with a 6th sense sensory rod ($250). I was wondering if it would be better if i upgraded to a $350 or $450 rod. I only use one setup for everything. I recently got a boat to take out on the lake but I’ve been having some issues when I'm bringing it back in. A lot of the times when i load it back up it takes a while because when I drive it up onto the trailer, the boat moves to one side even if I’m dead center. I think it is because i had too much of the trailer in the water, but I want any help I can get. Please anyone give me any tips that might help me thank you ahead of time.

I have an old jon boat thats around 10-12 ft and im wondering whats the best anchor for it. Preferably as light as possible. It will only be used in a pond with shallow water. 90% of the pond has thick grass at the bottom. Thanks

Im switching to braided line for everything and i fish in heavy grass with less than 2 feet of visibility. I never got why people painted green braid black instead of just using black braid. Under my conditions will black braid work well? Thanks.

Thanks and yeah im from texas usually theres a foot or less visibility but in the winter it gets a bit clearer. Thanks really appreciate it

I was wondering because people color their line black sometimes and btw i fish muddy water with less than 3ft visibility 90% of the time. Baitcaster and everything it will be fished in a pond with heavy grass usually and the water color is muddy.
