Lol never a drop in the bucket. But good point, only 70 more than a Steez. Guess I need to look into one of those gear testing company’s and see what makes these reels so pricy.

570$ for a fishing reel!? Don’t get me wrong I am a gear junkie and like to have the luxury rods and reels but 1000 for a fishing rod combo is out of my budget lol. Thank you for your input. Maybe one day! Are you familiar with the scorpion 1000xt? It looks like you have to order them from Japan, or buy them used.. is that correct?

I just worry with being in pike, musky, and walleye waters, I use 14 lb mono and don’t want to get spooled if I hook into a good one. Maybe I stay in the 150, 200 range?

Is a MGL 70 going to be much smaller spool size than a 150, and 150 will be smaller than my curado 200? For me being 22 years old you sure are making me feel technologically challenged hahaha. I’ve come to realize that it is sometimes worth it to pay more upfront and get a great product with a warrant ensuring you’ll get years of use of it so I’m not against paying 500$ if the warrant is justifying it. Would you say a Tatula sv tw is better than a curado hg201?

Trying to pair a nice reel with my Megabass orochi Jerkbait special. Mainly using it for throwing mb110 xraps, hj14. Slowly building my rod selection and have a curado hg201 on my loomis for crank baits. Would like to stick with Shimano but have heard great things about the Diawa Steez A. Is the $500 Steez worth it when I could buy 3 more Hg201 for the same price? Also I’m typically throwing 14lb mono on it so spool size may need to be bigger.
