  1. Currently have 2 hds pros one at the bow one at the console, along with a 8612/lvs 34 on a quest up front. The main purpose of the hds pro up front is only to see waypoints, but it has downscan on it and i have found it is more detailed than the 3/1 active imaging transducer on the back. i have been able to find some stuff with the 455 around 60-120 feet but struggling with the 1055. Have a hummingbird solix that is not being used because half of the side scan on the right side has been black for a long time, i think it is transducer damage although i am not sure. I fish alot of central florida lakes in tournaments and have gotten relativley good with the livescope at finding offshore fish on piles/ structure, however i struggle to identify fish and my bait on livescope past 65 feet, i use 100 to look for structure and cast and then go to 60 to catch indivdual fish, however i seem to do best just using the scope to position my bait on structure/ grass. i am thinking of adding 360 up front because most of my fishing is withing 6-17 foot of water max being in central fl. Wanted to ask for recomedations on either getting another unit for sidescan or 360 (probably a helix) however i dont really see the major use of having a expensive hds pro up front just for waypoints, but it definltey helps to find offshore stuff quickly. considering getting a bird for sidescan and using the current solix for sidescan. i feel like the advantage to the bird for sidescan is going to be finding shell with the mega imagingbecause that is primarly what i fish, and the lowrance 1055 has been hard to dial in for me.
  2. I know this is a 6 year old thread, but there is a way to reuse them, if you tie a overhand knot on the main line that has the drop and run the new line through the loop and tighter it down, you can run it onto your new line. I do this when flipping with different sizes of weights.
  3. I will mainly be fishing t rigs, probably 1/8 to 1/4 mainly 3/16 and 14 pound Fluoro with 5 inch senkos and fat aces. I’m also looking for a good cranking rod but it would be mainly for deeper divers ( 15 - 22 ft.
  4. I’m looking at the st.croix legend tournament and am trying to decide between the medium fast or medium heavy moderate fast, what are the main differences? Thanks
