    I had a blast fishing the Middle Racoon River when I lived in Iowa. Caught smallies on a regular basis. It's definitely not the "best" place to fish, but for central Iowa, I never got skunked there.

    Hey everyone! I've been a lurker for a long time and finally decided to create an account. This place is a wealth of great information and a great bunch of people. I just moved from the midwest to Washington state. I recently acquired a kayak and am looking to find some smallmouth fishing around the Columbia river area.
