Why is Googan so overhyped? They have childish colors, their split rings are terrible, their soft plastics are not durable, why does everyone still use them. I understand why beginner fishermen buy from them since Googan is one of the first things you discover when you join the community because of its popularity, but some people who have been fishing for years still use lures/baits from them? sorry for the title typo i meant "thoughts on Googan"

A reel 150$ or under would be ideal, Im searching for a low profile reel and i don't consider weight important

typically as the water warms the less time you should leave in-between jerks. In the summer, I would leave 3 seconds in-between my sets of jerks. For my jerks, I do 3 to 1 to 2.

Does anyone know some casting reels that come in options good for cranking? Like a 5:1 ratio? Thanks, Wyatt
