  1. Thanks all for the great insights; it's crazy how wide a range of opinions are out there haha. My take aways is that I should research co-polymer lines and stay away from the cheap fluoro if I'm going with a whole spool of it. At this point, I'm tempted to use a backing of #10 braid and put a few yards of fluoro leader (#6) on top of it just to see how it behaves. If I like it, I can try full fluoro next re-spool, otherwise I can just leave it as is and go back to braid + leader which I'm used to.

  3. Hi everyone, first time posting here! I’m looking at getting a light spinning setup for worms and I’m debating what line to put on the reel. So far, I’ve been using 10lb braid with a leader, but I’m thinking of going full fluoro or maybe have a braid backing + half of the reel with light fluoro (I’m thinking 6lb). I’ve spooled a spinning reel before with fluoro and it was a disaster. I had less experience then, maybe I spooled it in the wrong direction, not sure. All I remember is that the line memory was horrible. What’s your experience with a setup like this? Any recommendation?
