    Found the shims behind o ring ,, they had divots .. cleaned and reversed then ... seems to work fine now .. Thanks 1 and all for advice and info

    Tension cap had no o ring, put 1 in ... should it have shims behind o ring?

    This real only has 1 tension cap

    I have an older abu garcia ambassador 5000 that works great .. but I have to adjust spool tension every couple cast to avoid backlash... any ideas why tension won't hold ?
