  1. Newbie question about outboard without power tilt.

    Hey everyone, happy Friday! I recently bought an old bass tracker with a Mercury 500 50HP that doesn’t have power tilt/trim. Is the motor supposed to rest on the tilt pin or is it supposed to lock in when in forward? My gut tells me it’s supposed to rest on the pin so if the lower unit hits something it can swing up over it? TIA! Tight Lines SRQAlex

    Hey there everyone, long time lurker here. I’m a Sarasota native and I am headed to lake istokpoga next weekend for a few days with some buddies. I’ll have my little bass tracker with me and I’m looking for some pointers as I have never fished that lake before any help would be greatly appreciated.
