Hey all ^^ Where should I really begin, I am from Upstate NY and have been fishing since I was around 7, though I took quite the long hiatus from the sport I have recently found myself falling in love with both fishing and the outdoors again. I am twenty-seven now and I'm located on the beautiful and lazy Oswego River. I like casting for all fish but my favorite to hookset into for sure are smallies. The river smallmouth out here are feisty as heck and always give a good fight! I look forward to talking with all of you guys and being a part of this growing community!

My favorite plastic bait smell has to be the Gary Yamamoto Senko's. The worst is by far the Strike King Nedrig worms.

Hi so this is gonna be a story most of you probably heard already. But I am recently getting back into fishing and I was curious which type of rigs I should be fishing. Currently I have been using texas/wacky rigs (weighted and weightless) with stick baits and lizard baits. So far I have had quite a bit of luck pulling the smaller bass' out of the 6-10ft range in the river. I was curious how I could effectively get some texas rigs down to the more deeper areas in the water, like the 15-25ft range. Any advice would be helpful, Im mainly looking for which sinkers and stuff to use.. Thanks!

An old post but I had this phenomena happen to me today. It's been pretty crappy fishing for the past due to heavy storms. Went out Friday and caught a pretty hefty sized smallmouth bass in the river. Then when I was out today fishing before work I caught another smallmouth and I swear he had the same hook mark from the previous hookset.
