Ward Lake is outside Bradenton. Launch at a place named Jibbs Outpost. Looks nice but have very little info other than their website. Thanks for the tip on Shell Creek, I really appreciate it! Tough starting out in a new area. If you ever travel to Upstate, Northern or Western NY, give me a shout. I know stuff!

Thanks for the info Mike. Used a wacky senko and finesse worm under Sumter bridge today and picked up a few. Zero luck in main waterway though. What other freshwater that will take a motor boat around here? Been looking but finding very little. Just looked up Ward Lake. Any experience there? I crush in Deer Prairie with my kayak but like to use boat more.

Very old thread but giving it a try. I'm new to North Port and have tried the Cocoplum Waterway a few times. I have a boat and have been bass fishing for 50 years. Not having much luck in this water (haven't been skunked but best day was only 3). I've been crushing in a few other places but not there. Any tricks or spots that anyone would like to share? I'm 2.5 miles from the launch so would really like to figure it out. Thanks
