I'm trying find out any personal experiences with the current versions of electric trolling motor internal depth finder transducers. In particular, has anyone been able to compare how much depth finder noise interference there is between MinnKota's Universal Sonar 2 (US2) and MotorGuide's digital system? (Both with built in transducers.)
I find more "press" on how MotorGuide's digital system eliminates all trolling motor interference on one's depthfinder. On the MinnKota Universal Sonar 2 side, I seem to only find lesser claims of "greatly reducing" interference. What are your personal experiences with either of these technologies?
MinnKota US2 users: Can you see a high level of detail, say following your drop shot weight and lure in 40 feet of water? Can you see more detail on your depth finder connected to a transom transducer than your depth finder connected to your trolling motor's Universal Sonar 2 transducer?
MotorGuide users: Can you verify the claims of "total elimination of noise interference"?
Thank you in advance for your postings!
(Lets not turn this into the age old debate of "MinnKota is better than MotorGuide" simply because one has used one or the other for decades. I just want as unbiased comparison between these two technologies as possible.)
