  1. No pictures as neither of us had a camera. Yes, the mussel was a PB!
  2. Rabies66 started following Bass and Clam
  3. A big thank you to Road Warrior for taking me to a pond in Germantown, TN to fish for bass. I actually caught a nice 1.5 pounder on a red rooster tail. But also missed 3 others. Oh well. Very nice place to fish. This was the first bass I have caught in the Memphis area since moving here over ten years ago. Hopefully won’t be the last. There was another first today – when fishing with my Rapala Husky Jerk (which was not a good lure to use in this pond). When retrieving it, I thought I had a snag, then I thought I had hooked into a rock, but it turned out to be a fresh water clam. One hook got it where the two halves close. Never caught anything like that before. First time for everything I guess!
  4. Don't know how to reply to a message so I'll post reply here. Bartlett, TN is a suburb of Memphis at the very western edge of TN.

  6. Hi New to Bass Resource. Live in Bartlett Tennessee but haven’t done much fishing in the Memphis area since I moved here over 13 years ago. Did some bass fishing in Arkansas but not much since then. Now that I am retired, I have more time and would like to get back into it. I have practiced catch-and-release my whole life. I used to joke and say I was the first one to practice catch and release back in the 60’s even before it was called that (did I just age myself?!). No boat so I would like to learn of some lakes in the Bartlett, Germantown, Collierville, etc. area for some shore fishing. It might be kind of fun to meet some folks from this area and maybe do some fishing while we’re at it. Tom
